Photography from Assiniboine Park Zoo

On December 10th, 2012, Room 4 and Room 18 went to Assiniboine Park Zoo. Here are some pictures and a quick explanation of the day by Hailey!

Our Field Trip to the Zoo!

Mrs. Steinhoff won a free field trip to the zoo. At the zoo we did some really fun activities like taking photos of the animals, having a cool lunch and poetry.

Doing poetry was so fun! First we got into groups of four or five and we all had a choice between five different types of poems. But all the groups picked I AM poems.

After the poems, we all got into a big circle and the guide had a drum. She passed the drum around so we could all show our rhythm that we feel or a beat. It was really cool.

After poetry we went into a dark room and another person explained 5 different types of ways you can do photography. They were worms eye view, bird’s eye view, far shot and wide shot. It was really fun! Taking pictures of animals was so fun! First we got a shot of the zebra. The other animals were rain deer, elk, tiger, red panda, monkeys, birds and peacocks. All the animals were so cute.

The zoo made so much fun and funny memories.  It was really fun.
