Beautiful Beadwork

We were recently part of a wonderful workshop led by an incredibly talented artist, Becca Taylor.  She came for two hour-long sessions to teach us about beading.  This was important because we've been studying  The Fur Trade and The History of Manitoba.  Through our research, we've learned that beaded items were used to trade.  After spending time beading, we could quickly see why beaded items are so valuable.  They are not only beautiful to look at, but they take an incredible amount of time and patience to complete.  Here our some pictures of our two days with Becca.

Special thanks to Lisa Aymont Hunter and Becca's assistant, Bree, who assisted us as well!

All done!
Variety of colours!
Beautiful details!
We are very proud of our creations!

Here's some pictures of the steps we took to complete our beadwork.
