"Gingerbread" Building
What a fantastic afternoon! Today we built our "gingerbread" houses - out of graham crackers! It was a lot of work but I think it was worth it! The students had so much fun designing their yard too!
Of course to make it integrated into the curriculum, we used the design process to also learn about area and perimeter. We also used multiplication, division, addition and subtraction along the way while we figured out how many supplies we needed, what the cost would be, and how to share our materials.
Here are a few pictures from today! We will be showing them to the other classrooms tomorrow :) Enjoy!

Living With the Buffalo
What were parts of the buffalo used for?
Recently our class got to check out a "Buffalo Box" that included many parts of a buffalo. Students spent time guessing what each part was used for by First Nations Peoples. Here are some pictures!
